BULLHEAD COMMUNITY GARDEN
“To Promote A Safe Environment For Our Community To Grow Food, Flowers and Friendships”
ABOUT THE GARDENS
While serving as a city council member in 2021, Waheed Zehri visited his family in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. During his trip, he saw a community garden and how beneficial it was for the local community. He felt inspired to bring that back with him. He spoke with Bullhead City officials and they began working on the garden right away. The city donated two-acres of land on Trane Road next to the senior center. With the help of many other community members, including the Master Gardeners of Bullhead City, they turned Dr. Zehri’s idea of a garden into a reality. After years of hard work, the team is proud to announce the new nonprofit, Bullhead Community Garden!

GET INOLVED...
Becoming a member of a community garden offers numerous benefits, both personal and communal. It provides access to fresh, locally grown produce, often at a lower cost than store-bought alternatives, while promoting healthy eating habits. Members can connect with neighbors, build friendships, and strengthen their sense of community through shared work and collaboration. Gardening also offers physical activity and mental wellness benefits, serving as a stress-relieving hobby in a natural setting.
